How to mount shares on Amahi 7 from Ubuntu

I 'upgraded' my Amahi server from Ubuntu 12.04 LTS to Amahi 7 / Fedora 19. It seems to be set up right in that I can access my server from a browser with HDA and it's DHCP service is functioning. However, I cannot access the server shares from any of my other computers on the network running Ubuntu. It just worked automatically when I had the Ubuntu server running. I could click Browse Network and see all of the computers and my server on the network. I could open the server and access all of my shares. With the upgrade, when I click on Browse Network, I get an icon for Windows Network which opens to WORKGROUP and AMAHI.NET. Neither of these can be accessed any further. I have samba installed on my ubuntu machines. I don't really understand how to administer linux networks, shares, mounting, etc. Am I wrong to expect this to work like it did with the Ubuntu/amahi server? I am open to any simple solutions. None of the information in the wiki was helpful or fully understandable.

Did you release/renew the DHCP on your clients? The wiki does provide guidance on how to access shares using Linux clients.

Unfortunately not all Linux OS distros easily play together. I presume Ubuntu to Ubuntu is more automatic than Ubuntu to Fedora. It may take some playing around to get things sorted out.

Hope the wiki guidance helps. If you have any suggestions how to make the guidance easier to understand, please let us know. You could make updates to the wiki yourself as well. Most wiki guidance is authored by Amahi users such as yourself.
