owncloud and greyhole

Postby cowen » Wed Nov 13, 2013 11:30 am

Hi,

This is a Greyhole/ownCloud question.
I have installed Amahi, installed and configured Greyhole and now installed owncloud and everything is working. So far so good.

I now want to configure ownCloud according to the recommendations online. Specifically here:
https://github.com/gboudreau/Greyhole/issues/79

My problem is, being a complete newbie, I don't know how.

1) Mount the share. Something like.....???
mount /var/hda/files/owncloud /mnt/owncloud
2) permissions??

Sorry guys, this like wading through mud for me at the moment, but it is getting there.

First, mount shares locally on the HDA

https://wiki.amahi.org/index.php/Mount_Shares_Locally

then setup ownCloud and make it use the mounted shares as you see fit, but DO NOT point ownCloud at the /var/hda/files (or other direct shares directory)

It interferes with how samba functions, esp if you run greyhole.
