Another new member with a problem first time post sorry.

The settings for my HDA are not quite correct I have the wrong gateway listed it should be 192.168.1.254 not 192.168.1.1 do I have to create a new HDA and delete the old HDA or is it editable.

I beleive this is the cause of not being able to see files from HDA browser. Perhaps it was 192.168.1.1 before I gave control to Amahi.

Many thanks in advance notsoold.

You can try changing it locally using the hda-change-gw command.

I do not believe it's editable on amahi.org. If that does not work, then recommend you remove the HDA profile and create a new one with the correct credentials. That of course will require a reinstall of Amahi as well.

Thankyou for your help the instruction worked by changing the gateway address on the hda itself and the browser but my control panel hda is still reporting the wrong ip looks like I am going to have to do a complete reinstall as I still can't see the files. Will make sure that I have the correct gateway then.

If I reinstall will I have to purchase the ipsec and openvpn again or will they reinstall. I'd rather not have to fork out another 10 dollars. Both are useless without being able to see the files in the the browser but didn't want to waste money.

Yes the Web site doesn't update. What are you using to view files?

Any app you purchase is good for life of your account.

just using browser to log onto http://hda, Never seen any files appear on any searches of hda despite the fact I copied loads across from from win 7 home premium computer and a mac book.

good news about the not having to repurchase apps. If I start afresh I suppose I just reinstall apps.

Cheers.

The file search does not always work well. Try accessing you shares via Windows client by doing \\hda in the "Run As" command box.

That should show your shares and you can then see if there are any files present.
