Need help finishing setup

OK, I'm trying to use the vpn feature of amahi. I have amahi server install through vmware and I have a bridged connection.I have installed openvpn app. I have also port fowarded 1194 through my netgear router. Yet when I go to the control panel and test the vpn, i still get that it is inactive. I have went into the host computer (windows 7) and opened port 1194 also. I am completely stumped.

The status on amahi.org is not always accurate. Question is does the VPN work? Did you try it? If it works, ignore the amahi.org status.

Looks like maybe something did not install correctly with OpenVPN. You might consider uninstalling it, rebooting the HDA, then reinstalling.

Also might want to check the app install log in /var/log folder. Since this is a virtual install, there could be something there causing problems.
