Automatic Updates

Postby relrobber » Wed Dec 17, 2008 10:20 pm

How do you enable automatic updates to Amahi? I've read about it, but haven't seen any instructions on how to enable it.

Amahi updates happen automatically.

Also, major security updates also happen automatically.

Fedora updates are not done automatically by default, for stability reasons. You can do Fedora updates by using the tools that come up on the screen, or you can update by hand via the command line, with

Code: Select all

yum update
We try to make sure we keep reasonably up to date with Fedora upstream to make sure updates do not break anything in Amahi, however, that's something of a race, so if you update and notice something strange with Amahi, please report it (email to support, or here in the forums), indicating that you updated.

Thanks for the reply. I had read something in the wiki that said "if you have automatic updates turned on...", so I didn't know if I had to enable updates in Amahi.

We put this in the FAQ, since it comes up often enough ...
