Hi there,
I want to run amahi on ubuntu 12.04.1 server (headless) with a software raid for speed.
I have 2 disks
on both disk i made 2 GB space for swap and the rest for /
Install works perfect and fast
Then in console after first reboot i type; wget http://u12.amahi.org/install-amahi
ok as well
then after typing sh install-amahi the problem starts.
Filling the key and password
updating repo....
bash: line 42: /usr/bin/hda-install: No such fle or directory
I take all steps above on a virtual pc with 2GB mem and 2 cores.
Tested it with desktop ubuntu and it works fine (but slow and a lot unused software installed.)
Tested it in both virtual box as vm ware player.
Does anybody knows what going on?
I found one item on google which explains it might be connectivity but that is no problem at all.
Any help will be great.
As soon as this is running OK, I might migrate from my current centos 6.3 machine to ubuntu amahi.
Regards,
Ralph

Are you following the instructions at http://docs.amahi.org? I had this happen to me once, but I did a reinstall of the OS and it was fine.
It's crucial that you follow the instructions on the web site. Any deviation can cause issues.

Yes, followed all steps. Installed server without any add-ons like mail, lamp and dhcp. The server runs fine without amahi so I'm stuck. Really like amahi but need the raid and do no need desktop.

Check the install log in /root. Also if you need RAID for file redundancy, might consider just uing Greyhole. Although Amahi should work with RAID.
I have experienced he resolution was a complete reinstall of the OS followed by Amahi.

Re: bash: line 42: /usr/bin/hda-install
I want the server to be fast since I run several webapps on it which are used pretty much.
Another thing I noticed is you cant install webapps yourself anymore. Only the app in the store but not like in the past creatr subdomain and upload php script. This was the reason I looked for amahi again since centos is o complex with my linux knowledge.

Not sure how much speed gain you will get with RAID. I am not experienced in that area. As for installing your own web apps, that is still possible.
You need to ensure "Advanced Settings" is enabled.

Once complete, you will see the "Web Apps" section in the Apps tab.

Re: bash: line 42: /usr/bin/hda-install
The ubuntu server is up and I'm in console.
How do I find these log files? /root gives me permissions denied....
Like I said, I'm a linux noob
