<user>.yourhda.com resolves to router admin page

This might be a stupid question, but why on earth does my <user>.yourhda.com send me to my network gateway (192.168.1.1), meaning that if my Amahi box is up, nothing stands between my router config and the whole world other than a single password field? Have I messed something up in the setup process?

For reference, I used the express cd, there were no issues with the install process, everything else network related is fine (DHCP, DNS resolution on local hosts as well as apps, domain, etc) and I used 192.168.1.1 as gateway, 192.168.1.10 as HDA ip. I can't figure out where or why this is happening and it concerns me a little :p I had a quick scout around and couldn't seem to see anyone else who had a similar problem, either. Very confusing! If anyone could help out, that'd be great!

Cheers,

Sam.

Hello,

The dynamic DNS will not work unless you forward port 80 on your router to the HDA IP address. This is done by design as many do not want their server reachable outside their network.

Here is some guidance that might help.

No problem. Not a stupid question, just an oversight :)
