Configuration Issue with Network Gateway and Fixed IP

Postby raifwrite » Sat Apr 28, 2012 6:38 pm

I must be missing something here, but I am trying to set up an Amahi server for the very first time and am running into an issue right off the bat. I am trying to go through the initial configuration online to create my HDA and it is not letting me change the subnet for my gateway and HDA fixed IP. My router requires a gateway of 192.168.0.1 and I want my HDA on 192.168.0.10. However, the online configuration will only allow a gateway of 192.168.1.x and HDA IP of 192.168.1.x. What am I missing? Will I have to change this after I install Amahi? I would like to try to get everything configured properly before the install rather than trying to fix after the fact.

Try deleting that HDA profile and building a new one. I was able to create any gateway and IP address that I wanted.

If you still cannot do so, please email support at amahi dot org.

Unfortunately, still not working. I can edit all fields of the gateway address, but it does not save the changes. For the HDA IP address I can only edit the last field. The first three are grayed out. I will email support.

Ok, looks like the 12th time is the charm. Finally, got it to take, but something is definitely a little wonky. Also, the confirmation page did not show the changes no matter what I did. But finally the changes did show up in the profile after creating and deleting several profiles that were not correct. Hmmm.
