Fedora Errors

Postby normthegnome » Fri Apr 06, 2012 11:42 am

Hi all.

After about 11 months my HDA no longer works. I can no longer log in via VNC. Even when the computer has a keyboard and a mouse I can't get it to the Fedora desktop. Strangely, the HDA still provides DHCP for my network.

When the HDA boots up I come to the Fedora log in screen. On the bottom right there is an error sign listing which states everything started OK except:
Avahi Daemon [FAILED]
mysqld: [FAILED]

I would post the entire list but I don't know how I can get it off the HDA. Up until a few weeks ago I could log in via VNC. Oh, and when I try to go to the HDA with a web browser it gives me an Apache error.

I would appreciate any and all help in this matter as I don't want to have to reinstall Amahi but at this point with my limited Linux skills it might be my only option.

Thanks in advance!

Take a look at the log files in /var/log. Also, did you by chance have a power outage?
