Unable to access internet

Postby markinalbury » Sun May 10, 2009 12:56 am

Hi,
I am sure I am missing something simple !!
Amahi Set my HDA IP to 192.168.1.10 in the initial setup phase during installation
My Modem Gateway is 192.168.0.1
It doesnt seem possible to change amahi settings to this address post installation? Is that necessary?
I have tried turning DHCP of on my modem to no avail. The hda is seeing machines internally once they have rebooted but of course they then have no net access (they do when not joined to the HDA). I hope someone can help me out here.
Thanks
Mark

yeah, the settings in amahi.org should have been set to match exactly that of your router!

at this time, you can delete the profile in amahi.org and start a new one, then reinstall[1].

or

change your router to match the settings.

[1] you can also try this to avoid a reinstall:

Code: Select all

dhclient eth0 (make sure things are connected to the net - ping google.com, ping yahoo.com) hda-install -f -n YOURINSTALLCODE
then reboot.

however, this may be s bit dicey.
My HDA: Intel(R) Core(TM) i5-3570K CPU @ 3.40GHz on MSI board, 8GB RAM, 1TBx2+3TBx1
