Trouble modifying settigns after update

Ok so I've been an Amahi user for a while now but would still rate my Linux knowledge as dangerously noob. I'm running Amahi 6.1 on Fedora 14 which was an upgrade from 5.2 on Fedora 12.
I was having some issues getting everything to run including the DNS server and realized eventually that I needed to update the Ruby Gem setting in the /var/hda/platform/html/config/environment.rb file. Unfortunately i don't know if its a side effect of the updates but I now can't install or look at the settings of any apps on my Amahi installation. On the HDA dashboard if I log in and then either look at my installed apps, installed webapps or available apps. I can see the name and description for each but if I click on them nothing happens. The same is true on the shares tab or the users tab, the buttons are their but they do nothing. the hidden section doesn't display so I can't actually install anything and can't modify settings. I didn't know if it was a bad update or just a mis-configured variable but I'm not sure how to downgrade the Ruby packages back to test it or even know if this is a good idea. Can anyone offer some advice? It's almost like Javascript is broken but i'd figure that's client side not server side.
Thanks.
