Hello,
Im fairly new to linux and dont know to much about it. Got fedora 12 installed with Amahi. I can access the shares and the dashboard without any issue. However, I cant get my win 7 pro pc to join the domain that I have created. I followed the steps to start the PDC within amahi, but my pc cant seem to complete the network id wizard, it says that it cant find the domain server or cant find the domain account. How do I create the domain account? Or am I missing something?
Trouble with domain
Re: Trouble with domain
I presume this is a new install. Not sure if you are aware, but Fedora 14 is the official version for Amahi. Fedora 12 has limited support and we no longer add new functionality or apps to it.
Is there a reason you are using the PDC functionality? If you don't need it, recommend you stick with the basic Amahi configuration. There may be limited assistance with PDC in the community as not many use it.

Re: Trouble with domain
Woops, it is Fedora 14. The reason why I was using PDC was so that I could get my windows pc's to join the domain so that I could access the app web pages such as transmission.mydomain.com from my web browser, but I did some more reading and found that changing my DNS to the Amahi server on my network settings made that work. I guess using the workgroup setting is good enough then. Thanks for the reply though.
