Hi there,

first off, great work! :-)

Second, has anyone tried to install Amahi as a replacement on one of these WHS boxes like Lenovo IdeaCentre D400 or anyone of those from other vendors? I'd like to replace my old Windows Home Server with Amahi, because I think Amahi would be a really great replacement.

I think, this should work, because this box is using an Intel Atom CPU, 2GB of RAM, "normal" SATA controller (no RAID) and a just normal GBit network interface.

Rgds, Tim

I haven't tried that but I don't see why that shouldn't work. Fedora 14 is a live CD. So what I recommend doing is creating a live CD and booting up your WHS and make sure you have full functionality. E.g. does the sound work? Does the network work? Are there any deal breaking software failures such as a kernel panic?

Sound may not even be critical (it doesn't work on my system) however I don't use my HDA as a desktop but a server for my laptop. So like I said go ahead and try a live CD. If (most)everything works the way it should then Amahi certainly wouldn't have a problem.
