Hi bigfoot65 and FuNKeR, is there any chance you could update the wiki page for Dropbox for Amahi?
I'm running Fedora 21/Amahi 8 and I'm trying to install Dropbox (which I got to work) and move the Dropbox to /var/hda/files/Dropbox (which I haven't)
I can't leave the dropbox in its original location as it installs to my SSD which doesn't have enough room for my Dropbox.
/var/hda/files/ is on a very large RAID array
Dropbox for all users
Re: Dropbox for all users
Sure you can. Create a symbolic link pointing to the other drive. Syntax is available on the internet.

Re: Dropbox for all users
I followed your suggestion and using the symlink worked.
My only issue now is that I followed the wiki guidance on Dropbox for Amahi and created the dropbox script in init.d
Unfortunately, dropbox still doesn't start on boot.
I tried this approach using systemd as well:
https://www.burgundywall.com/post/autos ... -on-fedora
still no luck.
What sort of log would be helpful to debug?

Re: Dropbox for all users
That guidance is outdated and may not work with the latest version of Amahi.
Try as root user executing the second service but replace start with status to see what the error is for the service. Without the error messages it's hard to assist.

Re: Dropbox for all users
so, type "service dropbox status" rather than "service dropbox start"?
Re: Dropbox for all users
Yes. Note the errors if any are listed.

Here's what I tried (with CPG's help) using systemd.
No dice.

Re: Dropbox for all users
You may need to add this to the dropbox.service:
You might also check out help writing a service file for dropbox thread. The part near the bottom of the page may be the best way to go.
BTW once you get this working, would you please update the wiki guidance? We would greatly appreciate it as will other users.
Replace username with your user.User=username
