Amahi/VNC working remotely but locally not so much.

now this is really odd. My laptop connected via LAN can VNC, SMB, and access http://hda. My desktop connected via LAN can SMB, but VNC and http://hda don't work. When my desktop connects to the internet through cellular broadband, I can establish an OpenVPN connection, VNC, SMB, and http://hda all work properly. Why would my desktop have issues locally (VPN is disabled when connecting locally)

What are your network settings? Do you have it set to obtain an IP address and DNS from the server?
