apps and hostname

Postby kcossabo » Fri Mar 11, 2011 6:41 pm

I named my Amahi server the DynamicDNS name I own cossaboon.is-a-geek.com

I installed the 'phpsysinfo' application

When I click it from a PC on the home network, it trys to resolve phpsysinfo.cossaboon.is-a-geek.com and fails as the host is 192.168.11.4 - It does work from the server (VNC session)

any ideas? I of course do not have DHCP turned on, should I point a DNS to the Amahi server?

Aha, yes, you should point your clients' DNS to your HDA. Merriness will ensue.
My HDA: Intel(R) Core(TM) i5-3570K CPU @ 3.40GHz on MSI board, 8GB RAM, 1TBx2+3TBx1

how can i do this?
i have the same problem.

with amahi5 i also used my dyndns as my home domain.
when i installed amahi6 (clean install) i tried to avoid this - entered "home.com". but i think the home domain came from my online amahi profile - again its xxxxx.dyndns.org :(
