Hello there, just moving from server 2k8 to amahi, just a few holdbacks I'd like to clear out of the way before proceeding...
1. Can Amahi run an e-mule client? If so IS there one to use?
2. I have read a bit about GREYHOLE but still havent figured out if I can add an existing drive (NTFS) that already has data in without loosing it.
3. Will Amahi work on my atom 520?
4. Does Amahi support sata multiplier cards?
These two features, and especially the second one and the last one are pretty important to me since I already have stacked some HDDs that are full to the brim of some old cartoons for my children and dont
really want to move everything onto another drive.
Cheers

A few questions
Re: A few questions
I am sure it can. You can check the Fedora Apps store or google for software. Currently Amahi does not have one packaged. Unless it's a web client, we would not pursue adding it.Hello there, just moving from server 2k8 to amahi, just a few holdbacks I'd like to clear out of the way before proceeding...

Yes you can use NFTS drives. Once it is mounted and added to the storage pool, Greyhole will use it like any other disk.2. I have read a bit about GREYHOLE but still havent figured out if I can add an existing drive (NTFS) that already has data in without loosing it.
As for the last 2 questions, I cannot honestly say. The question to verify for #4 is does Fedora support them? Amahi is an add on for Fedora, so if the OS does not support the Amahi will not. You will need to check Fedora sites.3. Will Amahi work on my atom 520?
4. Does Amahi support sata multiplier cards?
Hope this helps.

Re: A few questions
Thanks for the reply,
I have had a look around and seen people speak of a version of aMule for "Fedora Core 4": since I am a total noob and have no clue what this might be, I thought I might take up a little more of your time asking you about this.
Also I have found some document visible here > http://www.addonics.com/support/faqs/pm ... fedora.pdf about the Addonics Sata port multiplier that runs on "Fedora Core 5"...
it tends to get muddled up pretty easily if you don't know what you're talking about!
Thanks again

P.S. OK, this I could have looked up, but can I use Fedora X64?
