Hello great Amahi Developers!
Best wishes to you in the new year!

I did buy HP microserver and want to install Amahi on it. However, it seems than Fedora 12 do not have all drivers I need for my system. May be Fedora 14 has....
What i know is that Rad hat server 5 (officially supported by HP) and Ubuntu (latest) was installed and works fine.

Question: is any method exist to install Amahi on Red hat or Ubuntu ot Fedora 14?
What you will do on my place? Change to Ubuntu? Or wait?

Fedora 12 did not find drivers for RAID contoller(((
Fedora 14 installed without any problem, but Amahi on Fedora 14 is not in a production yet...

Hello, can you tell me how you installed? I've got a Microserver and it's doing my head in! I keep getting to the stage of adding Amahi to the repo but I get an error and it exits! Been trying all day and getting no luck at all!

Thanks.

Ive just got one of these too. I didnt have any problems installing amahi on mine apart from when amahi was installing on top of fedora, i thought it had froze so i cancelled it. I then just started again and reinstalled everything and it worked fine. I know there is a solution where you dont have to reinstall but being a beginner, reinstallation seemed easier if not quicker. Maybe you could just try starting again.

Sorry to hijack this but I have the same issue and am a complete newb when it comes to linux.
It asks for a driver to load at the start of the installation process and I have no idea what to pick.
Think it is to do with the external USB CDrom.
Any help would be very grateful.

Hi, did you setup your disks with the inboard RAID contoller? I've read that doing so has quite a negative impact on performance. TheRAID controller is really 'fake' RAID, I would suggest installing as a JBOD.
Incidentally, I installed Amahi onto a USB stick which is placed in the internal USB slot on the motherboard.
Installation was quite slow ( not the fastest of USB sticks) but day to day performance is good. I used the Express CD.

Now that sounds interesting. Would you mind documenting it in the wiki? This might be useful for others.

Got it all working on my microserver.
Had to choose basic video during the initial install.
Great machine and Amahi is impressing me more and more.
Just got to get some more disks to get the all stuff from my WHS.
