VPN and dynamic DNS don't seem to work

New to Amahi...

Did the install as per instructions, but the VPN and dynamic DNS don't work according to the control panel web page. (picture below)


As a side note, that "Check Now" link for the VPN doesn't seem to do anything at all.


I did the port forwarding on the router (both the default UDP and also the alternative TCP port forwarding), no success. And I tried both of these options with my router (D-link dir 655) acting as the DHCP server, and also with Amahi acting as DHCP.

Any ideas? I really want to get these feature working on my old test box... because I have big plans to build a real server on newer hardware.

Hello,

The VPN button on amahi.org is not working. That does not mean your VPN does not work on the HDA though.

The dynamic DNS is working unless you are having issues with your actual machine. Don't base your issues on what amahi.org shows as we just updated the web site and there are some things still being debugged.

What are you trying to do?

Thanks for the info on the control panel indicator not working. I wasted a good amount of time on that last night.

I'm not attempting to do anything specific at this time, just testing features. Working up from simple setup, to vpn, to bare metal backups, to file backups, to greyhole, media server capabilities and possibly some web server applications also.
