amahi as dhcp & dns with xbox live?

So after installing IPtables, my xbox can no longer connect to xbox live. even after opening the required ports. I have the xbox set as static in the hda to 192.168.0.138. if I remove that static assignment xbox live works fine. everything is connected by ethernet, no wireless.
I guess I need to know what rules to set in iptables to allow the xbox through the firewall without just re-routing it around the firewall. going around is ok, but I would prefer ALL network traffic to go through it.
