so.. for those who haven't figured it out yet... I AM A NOOB with this kind of system. linux that is
i am trying to mount my newly installed 1TB Samsung drive
formated just fine into Ext3, showing up healthy in Palimpsest
BUT, when i try to mount the drive i get the folliwing error:
Error mounting: mount exited with exit code 1: helper failed with:
mount: only root can mount /dev/sdb1 on /var/hda/files/drives/drive1
i am unable to logon to the system with root account, locally, i have added my own account to adm group but i can't do this.
the funny thing was that when i earlier looked at the storage tab in HDA the drive wasthere in regards of available disk space, now it's not
what do i need to do here? reformat? or what?
