so.. for those who haven't figured it out yet... I AM A NOOB with this kind of system. linux that is

i am trying to mount my newly installed 1TB Samsung drive
formated just fine into Ext3, showing up healthy in Palimpsest

BUT, when i try to mount the drive i get the folliwing error:

Error mounting: mount exited with exit code 1: helper failed with:
mount: only root can mount /dev/sdb1 on /var/hda/files/drives/drive1

i am unable to logon to the system with root account, locally, i have added my own account to adm group but i can't do this.
the funny thing was that when i earlier looked at the storage tab in HDA the drive wasthere in regards of available disk space, now it's not

what do i need to do here? reformat? or what?

You will need root access via SSH. Then follow the guidance in the wiki for adding a second hard drive located at http://wiki.amahi.org/index.php/Adding_ ... o_your_HDA. This is done via command line, not desktop. You can use terminal from the desktop to achieve the same result.

http://wiki.amahi.org/index.php/Adding_ ... orage_pool

there is some kind of error here ... i don't get to the place where i am supposed to be... get an error (which i have reported)

i can't add drive to Greyhole and i have no idea how to add more drives to Greyhole, once the first one is there...
are there any easy ways of doing this... like with Palimpsest?
has taken me like a week now to add a new drive where i now have my "file shares" and i don't want to spend another week to add more diskspace

i rather NOT reinstall my server and use Windows Home Server v1 SP3
