How can I update an app to the latest version (ClearBudget)

Hi all,
I've just got my HDA running and installed the ClearBudget app, very easy process - but I notice that the installed version is 0.92 although the apps page in Amahi says it should be 0.97, why would this happen? Also the app is now at 0.98 (according to the website -http://www.clearbudget.net/Latest-updat ... rsion.html). Is there a way to update this app through the HDA dashboard, or via yum, or do I need to wait for someone more skilled then me to create a one-click package for v0.98?
As a matter of general interest are there things I should be doing routinely to keep my Fedora and HDA install up to date. I'm currently running Linux Mint 9 on my desktop and a eeepc some I'm used to apt and synaptic and update manger etc. I'm not well versed in Fedora or yum.
Any help / guidance gratefully accepted.
