Amahi looks pretty sweet, and I really want to use greyhole and replace my WHS with this.
However, I need to customise it a little and the sodding thing keeps reverting back to the way it was when I installed it.
I want the IP, DNS and Gateway to be different.
I want the hostname to be different - I don't care if I still have to use hda for the web interface, I just want to be able to hit the samba shares from Windows using a different host name without reconfiguring each client.
I want to change the samba security to share instead of user.
I want to change the samba defaults for security so I can allow full guest access to Windows machines.
I don't want to use the internal DNS or DHCP as I have an Astaro and a 2k8 server handling those things.
I've installed webmin to manage my build without logging into the console.
I think I know how to make all of these changes, but amahi just keeps changing them back. I had a look around the mysql database at settings but couldn't find much of use there. Tried to find some config files but didn't come up with anything.
Can someone please give me an idea how to reconfigure Amahi, or stop it from reconfiguring everything else? I understand why it does it, I think its a great idea and I probably would have done it the same way myself. I just need to know how to change the defaults.
How do I stop Amahi from reverting all my changes?

the best possible solution is if you can whip up the changes you want and we integrate them.
they are probably in hdactl. we are going to add a hook for external settings, and this is in the windows (not released yet).
also, what you voice is a bit abstract (in my view -- having arbitrarily "different" settings is too open ended). can you bring it to a more concrete level?
maybe through that bug we had. add details please, cause we're going to do a new release pretty soon.
