Hello,
I have installed Fedora 9 and Amahi per the instructions provided on amahi.org. I have entered "hda-install xxxxxx" and that install appears to go fine. But my control panel at amahi.org continues to say "awaiting install"
I have done a complete reinstall of both fedora and amahi to no avail. Another problem is that I cannot access my dashboard. That is, when I go to http://hda it redirects me to http://www.hda.com
I assume that these problems are interrelated. I have searched the FAQ, Wiki, and as always asked Google before I post.
Can anyone provide any insight or assistance??????
Thank you in advance for any comments.

Re: Installation problem
hi,
how are things now?
near as i can tell, your HDA is all up and running OK and the control panel should show it's "running" which means the dynamic dns client is updating and working fine.
as far as the internal networking issues, here is the recipe for troubleshooting it:
- first make sure things work in the HDA itself. you should be able to access http://hda and also see the web from it. if not, you have bigger problems (maybe the settings were wrong?)
- then turn off the DHCP in your router
- then "repair" or reboot the machines in your network, to make sure they get a new DHCP lease from your HDA

Re: Installation problem
Thank you very much for your reply.
I disabled the dhcp server on my router and restarted my Hda. Voila!!! It works!! I don't really understand why though...
However, this Hda does not show up in my control panel. This is my second Hda. My first is present in control panel. But this one is not there.
it should be "nickname2" but it is not there??
What can I do to get it to appear in control panel??
Thank you for your help

Re: Installation problem
Yes!! Excellent!! It is working. Thank you very much!!
I noticed the install code in Control Panel is different than the one I used during the install. Will this be a problem?
thank you again for all your help

Re: Installation problem
Hi!
I have the same problem as callasabra, i.e. my HDA still has status "awaiting install..." in my Control Panel. Otherwise my HDA seems to work perfectly; I can access http://hda/ and use it as a DHCP server.
Also, I cannot find how to change the settings of my HDA (IP/hostname/domain etc.) or how to add new HDA profiles. I can't even delete my existing HDA (I get a "Page not found" error after accepting the warning prompt).
Hope you can help!

Re: Installation problem
we're experiencing "technical difficulties" in the intertubes (the dyndns system is taking a rest after more than one year of uninterrupted service) ... please be patient.
