Did you check that your clients are getting the DHCP and DNS from your HDA?

Is there a firewall in place somewhere in your network that could be causing the issue?
How may I check it again? No firewall in the network, not in Linux and Android client, only in Windows client.

Thank you

To ensure the correct IP address for Windows client, do the following from the Windows command prompt:

Code: Select all

ipconfig /all
If the IP addresses are not the HDA, then you are not getting the DHCP and DNS from the HDA.

You're right I'm not getting dhcp or dns from the hda, only from the router. Maybe assigning an ip to the hda outside the router dhcp pool it works. I'll try it tomorrow.

Many thanks

You should have turned off the router DHCP server. Did you not do that?

Well, this router is very "closed" by the isp and it feeds 2 tv boxes. Last time i turned dhcp off, it was a semi-chaos with tv and no network. I'll see what I can do

Many thanks

Recommend you check your router manual for guidance. It should not kill your network by turning off DHCP and letting the server handle that piece.
