Help with Using Applications in Amahi - AirPot Express Help!

The http://ipaddressofhda is where you would put the ip address of the hda machine. For example, http://192.168.1.11

As for helping with AirportExpress, the best I can do is the wiki. I do not know anything about them. Suggest you use the search function in these forums to find more guidance.

The only other option I can offer is that maybe another user will jump in who owns one of these units.

Ahhhhh, now I see what you meant by "ttp://ipaddressofhda".... One question about that, though. It's a big noob question... How do I find the IP Address of my HDA machine?

No worries about not knowing how to setup an AirPort Extreme with Amahi. I am glad that is simply my problem and not something else. Thank you for the link to the Wiki, once again. I will search around this forum and Google some more. If I still cannot find any info on it, I will create a thread... Any ideas which section I should post such a thread in?

The ip address of your HDA is what you set it to in your amahi.org profile. You can also open a terminal window on the HDA and do ifconfig.

When I enter my IP address from my control panel on either the Mac or PC (again, tried two different browsers on each platform) I just get an error...

Grrrr...

I'm hoping someone has advice on AirPort Extreme/Express.

I did some searching and figured out how to make the exception with my AirPort Extreme.

However, I need my HDA's MAC address. I have the IP address. Just need the MAC address. What is an easy way to find my Mac address for my HDA?

EDIT: I just need to know where the correct MAC address and the correct IP address to use are. I need them for making the AirPort Extreme more passive, like the Wiki says.

On your hda, open a terminal and type:

ifconfig

The first line of output looks like:

eth0 Link encap:Ethernet HWaddr 12:34:fc:d5:d6:c3 .....

Your MAC address is the '12:34:fc:d5:d6:c3' part.
