Several issues: home.com doens't work, how to handle WoL?

Hi everybody!

I'm a total newbie on Amahi.
I was looking for a free home server package, and Amahi looked great! I start struggling around and at last I got my Amahi server up and running.

However, I got some issues.

On the Amahi machine I can access Amahi by using http://hda aswell as the IP address of that machine. The http://home.com method (in my case http://pc33-server.com) isn't working.
On my other machines I have to use the Amahi machine's IP address to be able to access Amahi. The two other methods aren't working either. So I'm assuming my DNS settings aren't correct. I'm a total newbie at this, so is it possible to change it for an existing machine, or is a fresh install required?

I managed to give my Fedora machine a static IP address: xxx.xxx.x.80. I entered it at the profile creator together with my gateway. I got my doubts about the gateway. Using ifconfig at the fedora machine it says my gateway is xxx.xxx.x.3. However, I'm behind 2 routers: the first one is DHCP enabled and can be accessed by xxx.xxx.x.3, the second one has DHCP disabled and can be accessed through xxx.xxx.x.1. Is there a difference in which one I should use for my Amahi server?

The second step at creating your Amahi profile is entering your home DNS domain. Is it correct that I can enter whatever I want in that field, and it will still work properly? Since the default is home.com, but I wanted it to be pc33-server.com.

The other issue is really more like a question. I read that Amahi has support for WoL (Wake-on-LAN) now. Although it's still in a testing state.
However, is it correct that this is meant to wake up the Amahi server from other machines. As that is what I want to achieve.

I don't want my Amahi server running 24/7.
I want it to be a file- and backupserver, and that it only runs when it's ordered to (so when I need to backup, or when I need to store large amounts of files to the Amahi server). After I've done my backup or storing, I want the machine to go into sleepmode and wait for the next WoL command (magic package).

I hope my problems and questions are explained well. If there are any questions, just let me know.
Thanks in advance!

Kind Regards,
Mike

I had the same problem on my Windows 7 PCs and not on Linux or Mac. This was what I did:

go to 'C:\WINDOWS\system32\drivers\etc'
edit the 'hosts' file and add the dns entry for 'hda' under localhost. eg.
???.0.0.?? localhost
1??.1??.1.?? hda
save file.

Maybe it will help.
