Hi all,
I've just got my HDA running and installed the ClearBudget app, very easy process - but I notice that the installed version is 0.92 although the apps page in Amahi says it should be 0.97, why would this happen? Also the app is now at 0.98 (according to the website -http://www.clearbudget.net/Latest-updat ... rsion.html). Is there a way to update this app through the HDA dashboard, or via yum, or do I need to wait for someone more skilled then me to create a one-click package for v0.98?
As a matter of general interest are there things I should be doing routinely to keep my Fedora and HDA install up to date. I'm currently running Linux Mint 9 on my desktop and a eeepc some I'm used to apt and synaptic and update manger etc. I'm not well versed in Fedora or yum.
Any help / guidance gratefully accepted.
How can I update an app to the latest version (ClearBudget)
Re: How can I update an app to the latest version (ClearBudg
Hello,
Thanks for pointing out the needed update. The Amahi version is 0.9.2 and not 0.9.7 as indicated. I will will make the change to 0.9.8 sometime this evening after I get home from work. I anticipate the app will be ready by tomorrow at the latest.
Once updated, recommend you uninstall the current version and reinstall the new one.
As for updates, it's best to run yum -y update periodically to ensure you receive all the latest Fedora patches. I run it daily, but that is my choice. I would say at least weekly if not more.
Hope this helps.

Re: How can I update an app to the latest version (ClearBudg
Thanks for the response;
Last night (NZ time) I had a play around and manually updated to v 0.9.8 - it was a learning experience
but I got it all working in the end.
At least I know now where my web-apps are stored on the file system and how to Chown the directories to allow apache and php access to them, and all done from the command line, I'm quite proud of myself! I just need to tidy up the mess I made by extracting the tar file to the wrong directory, but all in all I'm a happy camper again.
By the way 0.9.8 is a great improvement on 0.9.2
Thanks again...

The update has been completed. Version 0.9.8 is now available as an Amahi one-click app.
