Internet connection fails after amahi install
Re: Internet connection fails after amahi install
Another option is to change the configuration on your home router to use subnet mask of 255.255.255.0 and then take it freom there.
Re: Internet connection fails after amahi install
i think the netmask is not at play here, since the network is at 192.168.169 only - nothing else is outside that[*].
however, i notice that the screenshot you have says router address 192.168.169.1, so perhaps the access point has a separate ip from the router part of the apple extreme base station.
my suggestion would be to use a new script called hda-change-gw
followed by a reboot to flush out all the settings.
also you are messing around with the networking in fedora, which is not a good idea, because it can interfere with the amahi platform and can lead us down the wrong path.
can you try the above?

* in the messages above, he cited 192.168.196, but it seem to be a typo - his net is at 192.168.169 from all indications.

looks like the apple airport extreme was doing rather unique/unconventional things. not sure if by design or what.
anyway, from our chat in the irc channel, looks like you are sorting things out and have a different network setup now ...
for the record, here is a link that claims to show how to disable the DHCP server in the apple airport extreme.
