Initialization Amahi

Hello,

I'm new to linux but didn't have a problem setting up the server and getting it up and running. When it comes to initialization of HDA i cannot get it to work. I've read a couple forums from between 2015-2011 and nobody really seems to answer the question on how to get it to stop giving the message Username or password incorrect. I made a very simple password 4 letter password and username on a server. I've checked capitalization and spelling of both. I also went as root and checked the username using

ls

and get the username as admin. I've also used

grep admin /etc/passwd

and

useradd admin && passwd none

none being the password. Still no results with the red box saying username or password incorrect. Running out of ideas here. Much help would be appreciated.

useradd admin && passwd none

Never do this as it will not work with the Amahi dashboard. Users MUST be added via the web UI.

When you try to log into the HDA dashboard, you should get prompted to enter the password twice. Do you see that?

Recommend you change the admin password back to what it was originally. Then use that for the admin account in the Dashboard login.

Did you just do this install? If so, you need to start over and use the officially supported version of Amahi which is Fedora 23 and Amahi 9.
