Hello!
A newbie here, but some familiarity with Linux and Ubuntu.
I am wanting to change the settings for my ethernet controller eth0, but cannot find the commands/process to do it. Specifically, I want to to change HWADDR to a new MAC address, and I want to change ONBOOT to "Yes" instead of "No". Using commands I was familiar with from previous versions (as well as found here on the Wiki so far), I just keep getting told the files/location does not exist. I have a new NIC and Motherboard and want to swap my drive over to it without having to lose my current Amahi setup. I have the new MAC addresses, and if I could find the commands/instructions on how to change those, I think that would do the trick.
Can anyone help?
Change configuration settings for eth0 in Amahi 9
Re: Change configuration settings for eth0 in Amahi 9
There is no eth0 any longer for Amahi 9.
Fedora 21 and newer names the network card something like ens18 and the scripts are found in the /etc/sysconfig/network-scripts directory.

Re: Change configuration settings for eth0 in Amahi 9
Thanks!
So if were wanting to change the MAC address for the default NIC in an Amahi 9 installation, what would be the command I would run? Does 70-persistent-rules even exist past Fedora 21? In the past, I was able to modify the eth0 config and then easily change motherboards, NIC and so on - once I even pulled the hard drive and placed in an entirely different machine with no problem. Hoping to do that same operation with Amahi 9/Fedotra 23.
Thanks for any help!

Probably edit the ifcfg-ens18 (name might be different) file in /etc/sysconfig/network-scripts directory. So if were wanting to change the MAC address for the default NIC in an Amahi 9 installation, what would be the command I would run?
Once you make the changes restart networking or reboot.
No, that is outdated. The wiki page has been marked so hopefully someone will make updates.Does 70-persistent-rules even exist past Fedora 21?
