Upload files to server via smartphones

Today i installed Amahi but i can't figure out how to upload file from smartphone to share on amahi server. Tried with ios/android but can't figure out.

I don't believe that is possible without using VPN to access the server outside the network.

Could be mistaken, but I think only download is possible by default with Amahi. For inside the network you would need to use a file explorer app that allows access to LAN files.
