Update Apps

Hey Bigfoot...your favorite noobian friend here with, im sure, will result in a staggering easy solution. My question today focuses on updating applications. I started with 7 and progressed into a new 8 install. Correct me if i'm wrong, but the VNC functionality for 8 has not been ironed out. Several of the apps have new updates like plex (i am having difficulty and wondering if an update would help) and openremote where i want to install the pro software. How is this accomplished? Through putty and fedora commands, another graphical interface or something i am totally missing? I am not looking for a how to explanation, i will figure that out. I just need something to point me in the right direction. Any help here would, as usual, be greatly appreciated. Thanks!

Correct me if i'm wrong, but the VNC functionality for 8 has not been ironed out.

There is no plan to support VNC in Amah 8 or future versions.

Bug #1867 identifies there is an update for Plex Media Server and OpenRemote is in BETA.

If you want to install applications manually, we provide some guidance in the Amah WIki, however do not provide support. These are tutorials contributed and maintained by the Amahi community, not the Amahi staff.
