Greyhole won't start

Postby ChassNAS » Mon Sep 21, 2015 4:24 pm

Hi,

Pretty new to this, so bear with me. First install this afternoon and can't get it going so far.

Clean install, brand new hardware, did a minimal install of Fedora as recommended on the WIKI. Partitioned the first drive so that root has most of the space, again as recommended so that the greyhole landing zone has enough space.

once in Amahi I used disk wizard to format and mount the other drives (the ones without /root). Then installed greyhole, selected shares & partitions to add to the pool, the root partition is not selected, but Greyhole wont start, status remains 'not active" If I look at the greyhole log it says:
Sep 21 23:47:47 CRITICAL daemon: ERROR: The following storage pool drives are on the same partition: /var/hda/files/drives/3TB-1/gh, /var/hda/files/drives/3TB-2/gh,

going on to list each of the drives I have selected. They are different drives, with different mount points so I don't understand how they can be on the same partition. There also seems to be no way in Disk Wizard to remove drives, or alter them in any way once they are added.

Any help would be much appreciated, thank you.

Are you using the Greyhole UI application or manual configuration?

Check the contents of /etc/fstab to see if the new drives are included. I am betting they are not as we are experiencing issues with the Disk Wizard application.

You might need to follow the manual guidance for adding a second hard drive to your HDA.

What does /etc/greyhole.conf look like?
