CLOSED: Amahi iOS app, folder empty

Postby knightw2 » Wed Sep 16, 2015 12:49 pm

Using the Amahi ios app, in one folder the contents are not available through the app. Specifically, a "complete" file within a newsgroups share. Strangely, the "incomplete" file does list the contents on the app. The files are all pdf files - any ideas what I can check or where to look for help? I've not been able to find anything googling or in the amahi forums.
Thanks

Verify that the ownership permissions are correct.

There is a function on the Dashboard for each share that will reset permissions automatically for the files contained within it.

OK, I reset permissions but it didn't work. I then rebooted the HDA, but still not working. Is there anything else I can try?

Thanks

Check the permissions of the folder on your HDA manually:

Code: Select all

ls -al /var/hda/files/share
Substitute the share with the actual share name. If they are not set to your first admin user:users, then that is likely the issue.

To ensure all files are set correctly, do the following as root user:

Code: Select all

chown -R wknight7:users /var/hda/files/newsgroups
Then see if that helps. If not, there might be a bug in the iOS app.

Tried it, but still not working. If it's a bug in the app, I'll just need to wait to see if an update fixes it?

Please submit a bug report.

There are no planned updates to the app at this time.
