Did you disable the DHCP and DNS server on your router? Renew the DHCP lease on the client? If you did these things, you should be able to access via the URL http://hda.

In order to use nslookup, you need to install the package net-tools. Did you look at Network Troubleshooting in the Amahi wiki?

The status on amahi.org could be stuck, so don't base whether things are working on that. It should catch up in time. If not, you can email support once you have everything working about the problem.

Thanks for your reply, I missed the email about your post

Is DNS the same as DDNS - that all I can find in my router, if it is the same it's not set.

Two things about DHCP,

1. when I disable it it seems to disconnect my LAN and wifi even if I reboot the router and Devices

2. On mobile devices, do you then need to disable the DHCP on the WiFi settings and enter the required information it asked for

Yes I looked at Network Troubleshooting but when I try to install nslookup I get the message

"http://f19.amahi.org/repodata/repomd.xml: [Errno 12] Timeout on http://f19.amahi.org/repodata/repomd.xml: (28, 'Resolving timed out after 30000 milliseconds')"

Also my login to amahi.org is now showing the STATUS as STOPPED (it was ACTIVE yesterday) so it has the wrong IP Address - it hasn't been updated to my latest address so 1194 is not open

Regards

It appears there is no connectivity to the internet for the HDA. Can you ping google.com from the command line?

Does your profile credentials for this server match what amahi.org? i.e. the IP address, Gateway, and Domain?

Mobile devices, they should automatically receive a DHCP address just as any other clients.

Your ISP would provide DNS services that may or may not be editable in your router. Recommend you check the internet for guidance on your specific router to determine.

As for the status on amahi.org, that is not always accurate. Port 1194 has nothing to do with you having connectivity or a working HDA. That is only for VPN remote access. If you don't use or need that function, then you would not forward that port (reference Requirements section in the Amahi wiki).
