Adding hard drives to a new headless Amahi Server

Postby snowwhite » Tue Aug 26, 2014 2:04 pm

So I'm adapting my Intel SS4200 box to Amahi. Not the best hardware but it's upgraded and still running strong. So my primary drive is an 80gb drive and I'm starting to add drives. The first one is a brand new WD Red 4tb drive. I can see it in the control panel but I can't do anything with it. Is their a method for adding drives from the web interface or do I need to plug in a monitor, keyboard and mouse in order to add the drive to the system?

Furthermore, is Grayhole already active? If not how to get this up and running?

I have read a few article already but they all seem to assume that you can get to the command line on the box. I thought the point was to be able to run everything from the web interface? I'm new so please orientate me in the right direction. Please and thank you! :)

If you can SSH into the server, you can add drives. There is no web UI for this capability.

As for Greyhole, please see.
