Hard drive question

Okay i currently running a FreeNAS 9.2 on my NAS box but i just found out of amahi and decided to try it out.

My setup is
i5 2500k
8GB RAM
2x WD red 3TB's
1x WD green 2 tb

With this diskpooling what happens if one of the hard drives fails? do i just simply replace it and my files are still safe?

What i run now in FreeNAS is Raidz1 which allows 1 drive to fail out of the 3 and i can replace it and it will restore the data.

Yes they should be if a drive fails. Recommend you read the wiki page on Greyhole.
