Amahi HDA updates

Postby nedhedrick » Fri Oct 04, 2013 3:23 pm

Quick questions: How is Amahi HDA kept current? How are patches distributed? Do upgrades consist of full replacements of the HDA? Is there a repository that automates the process?

I'm trying to plan for how disruptive it will be to keep the HDA software current.

Thanks!

Amahi updates are automatically pushed to your HDA. We don't update that often and the Amahi platform does not involve much more than a few files being updated periodically.

OS updates you control. Those can be often and several packages at once.

Thanks! I am familiar with the Fedora updates, but just was not sure about Amahi.

A follow up question: Is there any visibility to me when the HDA software is updated? It would be
good information to have in the (hopefully remote) possibility that something would break due to an
HDA update.

Thanks for your response...

You can check the update log periodically.

Code: Select all

/var/log/hda-updates.log
You can also note the platform or core version in settings. When it changes, then obviously there was an update.
