Error when installing

Read about Amahi in a Belgium magazine (ClickxExtra) and became very interested in this server.
As instucted I created a profile with Amahi, created a HDA profile a got me a install code.

Installed Ubuntu 12.10 on an "older"PC. Ubuntu is running smooth.
Like it says on your site started to install AMAHI USING the Dash home and terminal screen.
typed the Wget ...etc without typo's.
file install-amahi was downloaded and saved
Second line was also entered.
coe entered; password entred
After a few seconds my system responded with an error: line 42 / usr/bin/amahi: file or dir does not exist.
I can create this file. After doing so the next error occurd: line 43 /usr/bin/hda-install: file or didoes not exist......

Have I made an error somewhere or what??

Chances are you may have lost network connectivity or it is very slow. Recommend you check out the install troubleshooter.

Isnt ubuntu meant to be installed on 12.04 only. Fresh install with out any updates installed on it?

Yes. If you followed the instructions at http://docs.amahi.org, then you should not have issues.

Thanx Bigfoot65.
I made some misstakes, first I installed Ubuntu 12.10, with updates and everything.

I now have installed 12.04 without the extra's. Then I used the code from the pages you refered me to and finaly the installation of Amahi.
It's installed.
So thank you verry much.
