Have you check this out in the wiki?

Also, ensure your router DHCP/DNS server is off if using the HDA as your DHCP/DNS server.

Re: Using the Network Troubleshooter, I failed step 4
Thank you bigfoot for your reply; in answer to your link, yes, I read it. I have since reached the part of my
Amahi hda configuration, where I try to join a Domain.
The instructions I used are the ones posted on the Amahi Wiki: Making Amahi a PDC- Primary Domain Controller.
As I lack basic skills in Linux or any OS, I have to be guided by the instructions from the experts.
I followed the instructions, but made a mistake, and now I'm unable to remove the user choices offered at the hda login menu.
Nor have I achived the goal of joining my two PC,s to a domain.
The instructions were: [sudo useradd -s /bin/false -d /dev/null ComputerNameNotedEarlier$]
I have that on my hda login menu, but it doesn't work; I repeated the same steps again, since I couldn't uninstall/remove/delete these entries/command from my hda, and the result is the same; it doesn't work.
So, how do I remove these commands and start fresh, since I don't what to re-install Amahi for the upmt
eenth time.
As for the joining my other PC's to a domainI believe that once I get the PDC part right, the rest will work the way it is described in the wiki.
Thank you in advance for everithing.

Re: Using the Network Troubleshooter, I failed step 4
Not sure if you can undo steps. You can check the internet, but a reinstall may be the only way to restore order to your HDA.
You could try
PDC is not an easy setup, especially with Ubuntu. It is not well tested or widely used by the community. It's your choice, but I would recommend not using it.
You could try
Code: Select all
sudo deluser username

Thank you bigfoot, for your helpful reply to my last post.
The command you gave my worked, and I unchecked the PDC choice in the shares menu.
That is all for now, I'll continue with my learning; should I need help, I know where to find you.
Grateful, Juan A. Martinez
