Hi Team,
i want to set up a Amahi Server (Uuntu 12.04.1) in a Network, where a Small Business Server 2008 resists as a Domain Controller. As I understand, Windows is not willing to let another Domain exist in the same Network.
Now I hassle with the "Domain".
What should I do?
Setup in a Windows SBS Domain
Re: Setup in a Windows SBS Domain
Ok, found this in the forum.
That makes me thinking, not to use Amahi but Greyhole native on Ubuntu. But as I understand, the DHCP only has to be deactivated in the startup script.
Or are there any "out-of-the-box" changes made?

Re: Setup in a Windows SBS Domain
That is correct, you can disable DHCP on the HDA via the startup script. There are many configuration changes done with Amahi.
Not sure specifically what you are looking for, but there is not a definitive list. It is designed to be the total package, DHCP, DNS, and the primary server in a network.
It may still work for you, but may take some trial and error on your part.

Hi bigfoot65
thanks for the reply.
What the charm is, is that it is a working complete solution. Thats what I want to save life time...
So the "from scratch" way is not what I'm looking for. I'll test it, hoping not having to do things by foot.

Edit: should I use a Domain Name other than the SBS Network or the same? I have all Computers, Hifi and i-Stuff in the same Network.
