Playing movies from shares

Hello! I have recently installed my amahi server successfully following instructions on the wiki. I do no have any linux experience but everything seems to be working fine. My issue is playing my movies on my laptop or any of my windows computer inside my network through my shares. I use VLC and the videos are choppy and the movies kind of freeze and play again as if it was a bad signal on a cellphone. Any suggestion on what i could do to make my movies play normally???

I am using wireless not hardwire
I am using amahi for dhcp
I am using fedora 14
not sure what would be helpful to know.

The choppy video playback may be due to the wireless. If you would like to stream movies from your HDA to clients, I recommend you try the Amahi app DLNA.
