This is on a Fedora 14 install.
I installed Amahi a while ago and set up folders and users to use on a home network. I also allowed Amahi to act as my DHCP. Later on, I was doing some work with MySQL and I changed the root password.
Amahi continues to function as the DHCP and the file shares work as intended, but I can not access the dashboard. I was told this was an issues causes by changing the MySQL root password.
Can anyone tell me how I go about fixing this?
MySQL and Rail Application Failed to Start
Re: MySQL and Rail Application Failed to Start
Also, when I login to the Amahi website, it says that I'm awaiting install. I don't know if that helps.
Re: MySQL and Rail Application Failed to Start
Have you searched the forums for a solution? You may need to search the internet for options to change the password. Since you cannot log into a web interface, command line would be the only option.
You can try this and see if it works for you:

Re: MySQL and Rail Application Failed to Start
Thanks for the reply.
After more research, I found out that I needed keep my MySQL root password as 'hda.'
I fixed that, but I still don't have access to the dashboard even though the DHCP and drive networking still works. Also the website still says awaiting install.
I also restarted httpd.
What are other likely culprits? Why is DHCP still working if Amahi is down?

Re: MySQL and Rail Application Failed to Start
Amahi is an add on platform and the DHCP is part of the OS. Try the install troubleshooter.

You can also check the install log. You might want to consider reinstalling. If you have changed anything besides the MySQL password, it might have broken Amahi. Have to be careful what you change, especially if you are new to linux.

Re: MySQL and Rail Application Failed to Start
Nothing like the ole reinstall to get you back on your feet. Thanks for your help. I'm up and running again.
