Can log in to server, but not to apps.

I've installed Fedora, Amahi, and several apps. I can log into the server with either root, or my non-privileged user account. But when I try to access the apps, they ask for a login as well and do not recognize my user account. One or more of them DO recognize my root account, but some do not. And at least one won't even accept some of the characters I use in root's password.

What am I missing?

Since the apps are independently developed, each may have it's own user system.

Immediately after you install (or in the Apps > Installed area) there should be a panel of initial user info or special instructions. That initial user info may indicate the first or admin user and password for the app.
