Hello,

I'm new here and I want to know if I can use Amahi as a mail server out of the box?
Can I use the mail server to send mail to any account in the world (like to my Gmail account)?
How do I setup the mail server?

Hello,

No, you cannot use it as a mail server out of the box. You can however set it up to perform that function though.

There are two options that are outlined in the wiki:

The second one is more complicated. The first one I am currently using and works great for me. If you want to be able to receive emails to your HDA, it gets even more complicated. You can use tools, such as Webmin, to set up fetching mail from ISP accounts. Both options have capability for being set up to receive email, but each has different paths for doing so.
