Hi,
I have several share on my Amahi server: Docs, Movies, Music, ...
For some simpler devices (iPad) it would be easier to have a webpage on http://hda that displays the contents of those shares.
So I can go for example to http://hda/Docs and get an overview of of all files and directories.
Previously I had SVN installed and there I was a web interface that allowed that.
So is there some way or some application that can show me the contents of my share in a webpage?
One important remark: I have DHCP turned OFF on my Amahi server!
I can access http://hda from my computers, but not applications.
With my iPad I cannot even access http://hda.
Addressing it through the IP address is no problem however.

Re: View shares in webpage or webserver
I am not aware of any way to view files via web page other than using a custom web app or a web file browser. Apps such as Ajaxplorer or phpNavigator would provide similar functionality, but they are not currently live.

You could create a web app and add a html or php file to display the files, but might be more complicated than its worth. There are some free php scripts on the internet that would do that quite easily.

That is just an example.

Re: View shares in webpage or webserver
I have a Xoom, not an Ipad, but I'm sure there is something analogous to this for the Ipad. I have an app that lets me browse anything on my server in a GUI fashion, and even keep certain folders synced to the Xoom, via SFTP. Really didn't have to do anything on the server side, ssh came with Fedora. It just works.

Re: View shares in webpage or webserver
OK, I played around with it a bit.
Unfortunately webapps are no solution for me since I don't have DHCP on in Amahi because I don't want to run my server 24/7. (I can turn it on with WOL) No DHCP means the apps don't work.
I thought I could just use Apache on port 8081, with AutoIndex and some symbolic links I could make a nice overview of all my files.
But apparently Amahi also uses that Apache, so then the Dashboard is not available anymore on port 80.
For now the Dashboard is used only from time to time, while the file overview is necessary, so can just change one line in httpd.conf and restart Apache.
But still, this is no perfect solution.
So does anybody have a solution?
