no sound on my server

Can someone please help me set up the sound on my server?

I have tried following guides on forums and google to which i have had the sound working once, but when i restarted my server it went off
again what i need is some step by step instructions

I have pulseaudio installed and in the option sound preferences the output says dummy output, but when it was working it had my on-board sound card there

I am new to linux and dont know where to start, if someone can help me fix this i would be very grateful

Do you have all the latest Fedora updates? If not, try that. This is a Fedora issue, so might look in their forums.
