Add/Remove Software

Postby theprintingplace » Thu Apr 07, 2011 8:06 pm

Hi everyone. I am new to Amahi. I have Fedora 14 installed on another PC besides my HDA and I have noticed some differences. For example, why do I not have a shortcut for Add/Remove Software from the System --> Administration menu? I have to install packages at the command line with yum. Is there a way to add this back to the menu like it should be?

Thanks,

Nick

It is removed by default when Amahi is installed. If you want to add it back, recommend you check the Fedora web site. You could also check the shortcut on your other machine and see where it points. Then make a shortcut to the same location on the HDA.

It is not typically used by most as Amahi is meant to be a server, not a desktop. Obviously you can use it as a desktop, but many folks do not.
