I am able to access my HDA by my windows box, but once in there, if I click on a link to an app it sends me to an outside site. I have my DHCP server turned off.
What am I doing wrong?
Problems uing apps
Re: Problems uing apps
Did you renew the ip on your client. It needs to use the HDA DNS or apps will not work correctly. Do an ipconfig /all on your Windows machine and if the DNS is not your HDA, there in lies your problem.
Some routers have DNS servers as well. Make sure that is off along with the DHCP server. Amahi will take care of it all.

Re: Problems uing apps
Do I need to set a static ip on my router for my HDA? I didnt want to use the HDA's DHCP server. I thought it would slow my connection and/or increase my ping while gaming. This is my fourth time installing and got it working mostly, just this issue.

When you get yoru dhcp lease from your router, you do not have ANY of the URL information from your Amahi server, unless you set up your router dhcp to point to the Amahi box for DNS services.I am able to access my HDA by my windows box, but once in there, if I click on a link to an app it sends me to an outside site.
